Blagojevich Still Hanging On

Published by ragged316 at 7:24 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

It is almost a week since the issue exploded, and Illinois Governor Blagojevich still holds his job. If he is honestly innocent and standing for his personal justice, I can agree with him not giving up so easily. However, this just seems to be a large drop in the ocean of other things about this guy that may make people want him gone. The evidence may just be too great against him. Even if he finds a legal loophole to save himself, the entire drama may never blow over for him. It would be wise if he gave up his position. Let the state get back together. Blagojevich cannot work like this anyway.

The Illinois Speaker of the House is putting together a committee to decide whether Blagojevich should be impeached. Odds are, if he does not willingly give it up by then, the committee will choose to oust Blagojevich. No one in his own political party will really want to stand by him and all his corruption. I honestly do not think he has much of a chance to keep his job for the rest of the term.

The guy has a lower approval rating then Bush does… and that was before this whole scandal blew up.
