It's the hair - occasionally hair cuts can get so out of hand that they actually begin to take over a person's mind. That Blago-do is out of control...

I feel really mixed on this. I hate bailouts - especially to bankers who already have such power over the economy anyways.

If we want to turn this economy around there needs to be spending by someone. Obama's proposal is that this comes from the government - prop up the economy until American workers can take the load again and we start producing again. I just have a feeling this T.A.R.P. money could be better served in other places.

I still believe that if you follow that logic to its logical end, EVERY politician will be in jail. The political job field will be nothing but a country club for criminals, and I am not saying it is that far from that already.

And you can say this is not an executive office issue, and that is true on paper, in the real world, Obama will have to say something if it gets that far. Even a "no comment" has so much weight to it.

This is a Justice Department issue, not an executive office issue. The new AG has stated that waterboarding is torture. Bush's own top justice at the Pentagon has stated that the Administration authorized and engaged in torture. Bush admitted it, Cheney admitted it, and countless members of the armed forces have done so as well. With all that evidence, it would seem likely that something will happen.

You know, despite the whole image thing that keeps American presidents and most of our Senators and Congress-people from going to jail for the exact crimes that they themselves give life sentences for, I would absolutely love to see real justice being done in every high place of American power. Hold the friggin people accountable for once. Please. But, all in all, I gotta agree with skw(seems to be a pattern forming here...). It just ain't gonna happen.

I hope you're right. As good as a cease-fire is though, we will run into problems again shortly unless both sides are willing to make some tough concessions.

The UN, what are they going to do? They have a horrible history of doing nothing or doing little, and then too late. Look at the UN's record, Bosnia- F, Somalia- F, The whole continent of Africa- FFFFF, Iran- F. Is that enough? The tragedy also is how this whole conflict has been viewed and written up in the media. The media's ability to stoke the flames of Jewish hatred have never been more clearly obvious. We havent learned a thing from the holocaust-not one lesson. And that is the saddest thing of all- 6 million or more lives lost due to the same flawed ideology used by Iran, most muslims, and Hamas.
To clearly state you are going to wipe out a complete race is insanity at the highest level. The Jewish people are faced with the knowledge that many groups are trying to obliterate them. So sad. Long live the people of God.
